Hey there, I’m Sanikku, or Sanikkat depending where you found me. This carrd is just meant to be general information about myself.

Experience

I’m a self-taught 3D artist with 8 years of experience using Blender as of 2023. I started doing things such as ports for the source engine using Blender. I’m also a 2D artist, although I have a hard time rendering my drawings and tend to do messy vector doodles as opposed to polished things. I specialize stylized NPR stuff in Unity 3D, although I can’t program Shaders well; but i am learning C# programming.I’m currently working solo on a video game “Aggressors”, a 3D flight arcade game with sim-like elements inspired by PS2 and Dreamcast games. Specific influential ones are Sidewinder V, Simple 2000 Vol. 78, and 1st to 3rd generation Armored Core. Set in a setting that is a love letter to all my interests aswell as exploring cartoonishly exagerated versions of our world's problems

Interests

I have a wide range of interests, including Anime, Video Games, Japanese Real-robo, Aviation, the Military Industrial Complex & It’s history. My favorite series that have shaped my personality are Ace Combat, Armored Core, Mobile Suit Gundam (Universal Century stuff only), Sonic The Hedgehog (Where I got my name), No More Heroes, and a lot of non-specific stuff by Sega. I also have a soft spot for Yostar's gacha games, although I’ve never actually played any of them. I just really like the character designs. Arknights specially.

Other Stuff (Garbage Information)

Politically, due to life experiences, I’m a nihilistic anarchist. I believe that the west sucks and the east sucks more, but society is a paradox. While things could be worse, they will never be better, and the people in power are all demons. It's not that nothing matters; It's that everything is hopeless and too full of hate i.e. antisemitism, racism, religious extremism, and the human lust for war, subjugation of the masses, gay & transphobia, the silencing of free speech and etc, etc. While I'm not made out of glass and can appreciate humor, shit's fucked and the individual self is at danger. I feel the need to mention this as this mentality seeps into my work.And unrelated, while I think cats are pretty cool, My favorite creature is the bird. My best friend is a Sun Conure who had the unfortunate fate of being called "Mango".And one last thing, the blue hair cat girl character I use as a Avatar is "Caracal", a joke name as it originates from "Rooikat" which means Red cat in Afrikaans. She will be one of the side characters in Aggressors.I'm She/Her.
